In honor of National Disability Employment month and the 25th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Disabilities Workforce Committee of the Atlantic Cape May Workforce Development Board will host an awards ceremony October 1, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the Flanders Hotel and Inn located at 719 East 11th Street in Ocean City.

The event will honor the achievements of local residents and businesses. Recipients include: Lowes Home Improvement, Employer Achievement Award recipient; Jamil Stewart, Consumer Achievement Award recipient; and Joanne Gahr, Outstanding Professional of the Year recipient.

“We want to impart the message that employment is both meaningful and rewarding, while celebrating those who have embraced this ideal, assisted in securing these opportunities and hired these individuals,” stated Elizabeth Denham, Chair of the Committee.

There is a nominal fee to attend of $20.00 per person. This cost includes a continental breakfast. Pre-registration is required by September 21st.
