The Atlantic Cape May Workforce Investment Board
The WIB is comprised of 45 representatives, shared between Atlantic and Cape May Counties. Meetings are conducted quarterly at locations throughout the community. The 5/8 Board Re-Organization meeting will be held at the Cape May County Campus of ACCC.

Atlantic Cape May Workforce Investment Board Executive Committee
The members of this Committee include a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson who are both private sector members. The purpose of this Committee is to oversee the operations and administration of the WIB and to make policy recommendations to the full Board. This Committee established the parameters to facilitate WIB goals and objectives in order to accomplish WIB tasks. The Executive Committee has the authority to vote on behalf of the full Board when time does not permit a full board session. The Executive Board meets the second Thursday, every other month at 9:00 a.m. at the Atlantic County One Stop Career Center in downtown Pleasantville.

Adult Literacy Committee
This Committee develops and implements strategies to address issues of workplace literacy. The Committee is comprised of both public and private service providers who work together to develop and implement job readiness and workplace literacy skills. The Committee oversees the Adult Basic Education (ABE), General Equivalency Diploma test preparation (GED), English as a Second Language (ESL) and Workplace Literacy programs in both Atlantic and Cape May counties. The Committee meets bi-monthly in the WIB Conference Room located at the Atlantic County One Stop Career Center, 2 South Main Street Pleasantville, NJ 08232. Meetings begin promptly at 2:00 p.m.

Disability Issues Committee
Enable individuals with disabilities to have universal access and integrated services within the One-Stop Career Center (OSCC). Ensure that the Workforce Investment Board (WIB) policies and program strategies provide employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities.
Objectives
1. Optimize One-Stop Career Center accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
2. Ensure that the services for individuals with disabilities are integrated into the One-Stop system.
3. Identify training needs and resources for individuals with disabilities.
4. Provide sensitivity training to the community regarding the employment of individuals with disabilities.
5. Enhance linkages with community based programs.
6. Collaborate and provide recommendations to the WIB regarding employment issues and concerns for individuals with disabilities.
7. Develop continuous educational opportunities for One Stop Career Center staff regarding issues impacting the employment of individuals with disabilities.

Economic Development Committee
The Economic Development Committee is compromised of economic development professionals who interact with both the established and potential business community o n a regular basis. The Committee operates to update the WIB on current and future development in our service area. This Committee under WIA has been put to the task to develop local labor market information and skill sets for use in the One Stop System and by other committees of the WIB. Healthcare Workforce Committee
This Committee is made up of employers in the Healthcare Industry that plan, coordinate and implement strategies to address the labor shortage in some 25 different occupational titles in the industry. Recently, the Committee was awarded a $1.3 grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration to build a Allied Health Institute in Atlantic City. Meetings are held at 3:00 p.m. bi-monthly and alternate sites at the Cape May County Campus of ACCC, AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center and Shore Memorial Hospital. The March 4, 2008 meeting will be held at the AtlantiCare Life Center in Egg Harbor Township.

One Stop Oversight Committee
This Committee oversees the Atlantic Cape May One Stop System, which is comprised of local partner agencies that are directly reponsible for delivering employment and social service related services to the public. The One Stop Oversight Committee meets monthly at various locations in the community. Meeting dates and times vary.

Service Industry Planning Committee
Plans and oversees intiatives in the retail, sales and service industries. Current projects include the opening of the Institute for Service Excellence(ISE) at the Hamilton Mall in May 2007. The Institute trains workers for high-growth hospitality and emerging retail industries in sales and customer service.

YIC Executive Committee
The YIC Executive Committee is the planning body for the Youth Investment Council. The committee is comprised of members from the public sector and educational institutions. As a collaborative committee, the group is charged with developing a broad based plan to address the education, employment and training needs of the youth population; specifically at risk, out of school youth. Additionally, the committee members are responsible for participating in a comprehensive planning effort to identify service gaps and make recommendations to the YIC for implementation.

Youth Investment Council Area Service Providers
The Council is comprised of youth service providers in the bi-county region that implement strategies to address the education, employment and training needs of the youth population; ages 14 to 21. The Council takes direction and recommendations for the operations of the youth system from the Executive YIC Committee to accomplish its tasks. Meetings are held quarterly. Call 485-0153 ext. 363 for dates and locations. The April 3rd meeting has been cancelled.
