Preparing a local workforce for today’s economy!

The Atlantic Cape May Workforce Investment Board is comprised of 45 representatives from both the private and public sectors, shared between Atlantic and Cape May counties. The private sector represents over half the membership, which provides and informed Board, drawn right from the community.

As Board members, their task is to oversee the development and planning of new employment and training programs and to support current services and ongoing projects of the WIB. In addition, members are encouraged to serve on at least one Committee to provide insight and make recommendations to assist in the development of the workforce system in Atlantic and Cape May counties

The WIB Board maintains a partnership between the public and private sectors to evaluate workforce readiness, develop policies and oversee these efforts at a bi-county level, in order to deliver a labor force prepared to work in today’s developing and evolving economy.

The WIB oversees adult, dislocated worker and youth services for the Atlantic and Cape May County region and has designed a full spectrum employment and training system that addresses the needs of all our residents with regards to workforce readiness.

WIB initiatives in the Atlantic and Cape May County region plan for how the WIB intends to develop and implement programs to assist youth and adults with employment and training opportunities and manage adult literacy issues. From time to time, new research documents will be added to this website.

The WIB Board meets bi-monthly and locations throughout both counties. Individuals interested in joining the WIB should click on “Join the WIB” located in the left column.
